Summer 2023

Scout Troop 100 had a busy summer, with two weeklong camping trips as well as a high adventure trek to Philmont Scout Ranch.

The summer began with the trip to Goshen Scout Camp in Goshen, Virginia. The Scouts worked on their merit badges and enjoyed swimming, rifle shooting and other activities.

Later in the summer, Scouts attend Camp Rodney, on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay where they learned about the unique ecology of the area while working on merit badges like motor boating, leatherwork and archery.

Also, in August, Scouts headed to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico to embark on a 70 mile backpacking trip. The Scouts went rock climbing, hiked up Mt. Baldy and enjoyed hiking and camping in the high desert.
