Scouting for Food goes contactless.
BSA Troop and Pack 100 will hold a contactless Food Drive at St. Ann’s Church on Tenley Circle taking place Saturday, November 6 from 9 am to Noon. This serves as the annual Scouting for Food event. All donations will help stock the pantry at the John Mulholland Food Bank in DC, which helps feed more than 800 families each week.
This year more than ever your help is needed as other primary sources for food banks, such as church drives, have been disrupted and the need is growing with unemployment and the closing of schools. Please pitch in to restock the pantry.
To drop off, just pull up to St. Ann’s on Tenley Circle at the corner of Yuma and Wisconsin, pop your trunk, and a Troop 100 Scout will unload your donations.
Non-perishable food (No Glass) is needed. Particular items needed: cereal, canned vegetables and canned fruit, peanut butter and jelly, canned tuna and canned chicken, canned soups, and ready-to-go meals.
