Camping and Hiking
Troop 100 camps and hikes regularly. There is an outing each month of the year, usually with the exception of August. There are some months that the Troop participates in a day trip rather than a camping trip. The day trips usually consist of a physical activity such as cycling or archery or may include a cultural experience such as a museum. Monthly events are generally tied to the theme of the month for the Troop. Some hikes are limited to older scouts or the leadership patrol. As an example, Philmont is a high adenture trip that is limited to Scouts who are 14 years old or older.
Scouts generally meet outside the Scout Room at 7:00am on Saturday morning before a camping trip. The Troop usually returns between noon and 2 pm on Sunday.
Annual Dinner
The Troop 100 annual pot luck dinner is a yearly event that allows Troop 100 Scouts, parents, Scoutmasters, alumni, District and National representatives of BSA Scouting, and Friends of the Troop to celebrate the year in Scouting. The annual publication of Troop 100, the Council Fire, is distributed at the dinner.
Fundraisers
It is a fundamental principle that Scouts learn to pay their own way. Troop 100 allows the Scouts and ensures Scouting is open to all boys a girls with three primary fundraisers.
